What should I wear?

  • Wear clothing that feels comfortable and fits well, allowing you to move and pose naturally.
  • Solid colors are generally more flattering and less distracting in photos than patterns or bright colors.
  • Neutrals like white, cream, grey, tan, and dusty blue are excellent choices as they can complement a wide range of skin tones.
  • Bright or fluorescent colors can reflect onto your skin and distract from your face or the scenery.
  • While solid colors are generally best, some patterns, like delicate florals or subtle stripes, can work, but avoid busy or overly distracting patterns.
  • If you're in a group photo, coordinate your outfits with others to create a cohesive look.
  • Have a few options on hand to switch up your look or accommodate changing conditions.
  • Choose outfits that are appropriate for the location and season

Horse Portraits
  • Have a clean horse and clean tack
  • Exercising your horse prior to a session can help them remain focused
  •  Apply fly spray to keep your horse comfortable and free from distractions.
